Background Information

Late last June (2023) my good friend Roger G. passed away suddenly.  I have volunteered to assist the family in selling several Model A Ford vehicles that are either restored or in the process of being restored.

So far we have sold the 1931 Mail Truck (see the page on that for more information) and a beautiful 1930 Coupe.  The coupe sold locally.  They came to look over the mail truck and ended up buying the coupe!

Now we have two quality vehicles left to transfer to new happy homes.  A 1930 Town Sedan Deluxe and a 1930 Rumble Seat Roadster

The Roadster: We want to tune-up the Roadster and repair wiring that some mice found tasteful before we put it up for sale.  It was totally restored in 2014 and we have a Snapfish photo book that documents that whole process.  You can really see how extensive the restoration was.  I’m guessing that it has gone less than a thousand miles since then. Roger had a 1930 pickup that he used for serious touring and that’s where he put most of his annual miles.

The Town Sedan is ready to go:

The speedometer was rebuilt and recalibrated and shows that the car has only gone 165 miles since it was completed.

Further down this page are 19 photographs to give you a better idea of what the car is like.

I’ve been told that the doilies in the interior were hand-made by Roger’s mother-in-law and do not go with the car.  I left them in the pictures because they do add a touch of class that the car deserves.  The Ford Maroon paint was a special order option.  The shaded side of the car makes it look black in the pictures.
